What We Do

AIDS Fund accomplishes our mission to help in the fight against HIV/AIDS through a range of activities including:

AIDS Walk Philly, AIDS Run Philly– Since 1987, thousands of fundraising walkers have gathered each year to participate in the region’s largest annual HIV/AIDS public awareness and fundraising event – a walk-a-thon and 5K Run.  Over $13 million has been raised for HIV/AIDS public awareness, prevention, and care services for people living with HIV disease.

AIDS Walk Philly and AIDS Run Philly is held annually on the third Sunday in October.  To learn more, CLICK HERE.

GayBINGO!  GayBINGO! is the fabulous, irreverent, campy, wildly popular monthly event that has been entertaining Philadelphia audiences for over a decade.  Now in its fourteenth sold-out season, GayBINGO! has raised over 2 million dollars to date.  For more information on GayBINGO!, CLICK HERE

Black-Tie GayBINGO!  A more formal version of our monthly event, Black-Tie GayBINGO! features a silent auction, dinner, dancing, and, of course, Bingo!  Black-Tie GayBINGO! is held in the Spring of each year.  For more information on Black-Tie GayBINGO, CLICK HERE

World AIDS Day - Each year on December 1, AIDS Fund holds an event to remember those we have lost to the AIDS epidemic, honor those living with HIV disease and raise awareness of HIV/AIDS in our communities.

Workplace Giving Campaigns - Working in conjunction with other community funds and federations, AIDS Fund participates in the City of Philadelphia Employees Combined Campaign, the Federal Employees Combined Campaign, the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn’s Way Campaign, Drexel University’s Dragon Drive Campaign, and Temple University’s Temple Way Campaign.  AIDS Fund’s participation in these campaigns affords public awareness opportunities and provides the employees an easy way to contribute to the fight against HIV/AIDS through payroll deductions.

In addition, AIDS Fund sponsors local displays of the AIDS Memorial Quilt and produces a variety of other events and public awareness activities throughout the year.
